2000 - 2003 (ish)

I joined Alex in 2000 to run a very small production company producing work for Tate (Tate & Egg Live - Arvo Part, Peter Sellars, John Eliot Gardiner, Steve Martland, Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, Steve McQueen, Jessye Norman), Barbican (Only Connect, Stockhausen Elektronic), C4 Cricket gigs + international DJs on beaches and in parks across the UK, Lyric Theatre Nights, BBC Summer Screens and gigs at the just opened Somerset House (Orbital, Jorge Ben Jorn, Tindersticks, Lambchop).

This was underpinned by meetings with Steve Martland at La Princess in Finsbury Park, and working with the incredible Ellie Watts-Russell.

Alex Poots Events moved from Finsbury Park to Rheidol Mews, next to Illuminations Films, a constant inspiration.
